Though Rifflandia is still four months away, Vancouver Island music fans can start celebrating right now, as the music festival has just unveiled the first wave of artists scheduled to appear in Victoria between September 17 and 20.

As with previous years, Rifflandia takes place at various venues across Victoria, BC. So far, organizers have revealed 19 of the artists booked to appear, with some of the bigger names including Chromeo, Julian Casablancas and the Voidz, Kiesza, Arkells, Joey Bada$$, and Tokyo Police Club.

The mix of international and domestic acts also includes Neon Indian, Blonde Redhead, Big Data, Emancipator, Doomtree, the Underachievers, the Dears, Wild Ones, Little Hurricane, Frog Eyes, Moon King, Highs and Grounders.

The fest reveals that over 100 other artists are scheduled to play Rifflandia this year, though they're keeping the rest of the details under wraps for the time being.

Passes to the fest went on sale today (May 29), with a standard "Super Pass" going for $165, plus service charges. A VIP Pass that offers the opportunity "to skip the line" at selected concerts and allows VIP Access to performances at Victoria's Royal Athletic Park is also available for $295. Tickets to individual shows will go on sale at a later date, once the show schedule is released.
