Migos pal Rich the Kid (not to be confused with Toronto's Rich Kidd) has been on the up the last several months, teaming up with the triplet-spitting crew on a number of songs. Now, the Kid has cut loose with a new solo tape of his own, the self-referential Feels Good 2 Be Rich.
Following a quick intro, he takes charge over a smooth snap beat and marimba tones, talking about riding Bugattis around Atlanta and slagging Applebee's on "Goin' Crazy." Elsewhere, he discusses a transition from crime to rapping and rising to the top on the contemplative "Came from Nothin'." The title track turns things up with house-style synths, AutoTuned verses and sung hooks, while songs like "Touchdown" deliver that A-town triplet flow.
While a solo tape, he gets a little help from friends that include Migos, Rockie Fresh, French Montana, Jeremih, Young Thug, Riff Raff, Kirko Bangz, Soulja Boy, Stalley and more. Production is handled by the likes of Zaytoven and Metro Boomin, among others.
