This Chicago group's debut calls itself "...a recording of music originally performed live as part of a collaboration with artist John Ross." The cover art shows what appears to be video stills. It all seems to scream, "Tortoise fans jamming out," which it basically is. This is more of a document than a stand-alone piece, but clear recording and a firm command of the material elevates this from a soundtrack to a record that bears repeated listening.
