Born from the funk-driven techno and breakbeat dedication of Chris Hawkins and Leigh Savage, Rhythm Division lays down thick and fast breaks in an understated B-boy fashion over humming bass lines and chunky beats. Sparse on instrumentation, with no melodic hook, but bursting with trippy electro samples, Divided Rhythms has the general feel of a DJ tools album; however, it's a cohesive and solid debut for Rhythm Division, who fuse all their tech funk and percussive fury into a clean dance floor-driven nu school sound.
