Revival

Montreal's Revival is an electronic outfit intent on creating exotic new age minimalism. The merger of distinctive melodies and subtle world-beats recalls the atmospheric trance experiments of Future Sound of London, in early works like Papua New Guinea. Spoken word interludes and samples add to the impression of a sonic movie soundtrack for the ears. While this may not be cutting edge stuff, within its limits it is a beautifully shaped and sequenced electronic suite that provides a highly entertaining and satisfying listening experience.
