World's Fair member Remy Banks hails from Queens, but he's clearly made some friends on the opposite coast, since he's been rubbing shoulders with members of Los Angeles collective Odd Future. He's going to be hitting the road with Earl Sweatshirt, previously rapped with Domo Genesis, and Left Brain produced his new single "rem," but despite these many California connections, his new video for "rem" is all about Queens.
In the black and white clip, we see Banks rap about his life in his hometown. His crew (including Nasty Nigel) stand close by and chant along in the choruses, and we also see lots of footage from around the city. We're reminded that Queens hosted World's Fairs in 1939-40 and 1964-65, as Remy raps in front of the large Unisphere globe.
