Red Vienna

"Forty Eight Graves"

Vancouver duo Red Vienna are set to unleash their debut full-length The Book of Hours this spring, but before it officially arrives, Exclaim! has got the exclusive first listen to album track "Forty Eight Graves."

The aggressive melodic-rock duo is composed of Robbie Zgaljic and Jahmeel Russell, who have previously worked with projects like KEN Mode, Sparkmaker and the Black Halos. As Red Vienna, they're bridging a gap between their harsher musical backgrounds and a more accessible alt-rock sound.

We heard a sample of the new sonic direction on "Golden Dove," and they continue to blur genre lines with new single "Forty Eight Graves." Tinged with shoegaze-y guitars and vocals, it's definitely a refreshing musical offering from the two-piece.

The Book of Hours is out on March 31 via Locust Hail. For now, though, give "Forty Eight Graves" a listen below.
