This is what I like about minimal techno - it functions as a sound that is both physically and mentally satisfying, particularly when it is done as well as with this release. Within a wealth of rhythmic dance patterns where no two tracks are alike, Random Logic uses myriad pops, clicks and house music keyboard tones tempered with a strong dub aesthetic. With the handful of sounds, variations and combinations are used, arranged and rearranged from a sonic palette, keeping within the constraints of a variable dance rhythm. Numrebs is akin to the superb music of the Chain Reaction/Basic Channel label. Above all it should be noted that the producers involved in Random Logic took their music one step further by arranging and blending their own tracks into a continuous mixed set, which is no small feat.
