Radio Slave Presents Creatures of the Night

BY Stephanie KalePublished Feb 16, 2007

Matt Edwards, aka Radio Slave, is well known for his hand in production and more than a handful of remixes. Creatures of the Night showcases his tracks selections — a number of them his own remixes — songs that ranges from the lost gems of disco to dance rock, from new electro layered with funk samples to straight-up ’80s hits. The mix begins with Radio Slave’s remix of Hell’s "Let No Man Jack” and keeps on the tech-y side with Shit Robot’s "Wrong Galaxy” and Lazy Fat People’s "Dark Water.” The tone changes a bit with some rumbling electric guitar rhythm in his own remix of the Kills unreleased "No Wow,” but returns to the minimal beats with X-Press 2’s "Kill 100.” Also featured is Green Velvet, a Villalobos remix of Señor Coconut, and a Roman Flügel remix of Radio Slave. Also, Corey Hart’s "Sunglasses at Night” perfectly works its way in, just before Radio Slave features the Osmonds’ legendary "iii,” a lost disco twelve-inch version found last year.
