Another one of the music world's biggest festivals has been cancelled, as Barcelona's Primavera Sound has called off its 2020 edition.
The festival has originally been scheduled for June 3 to 7, but after the coronavirus pandemic began to spread, the event pushed back its dates to August 26 to 30.
Today, the festival announced that the 2020 instalment has now been called off outright. The next Primavera Sound will take pace from June 2 to 6, 2021. Tickets from 2020 will be valid for 2021 and will include "special benefits" for those who don't get a refund.
This year had been planned as Primavera's 20th anniversary celebration. The lineup had been slated to feature the Strokes, Lana Del Rey, Beck, Massive Attack, Pavement, the National, Bikini Kill, Caribou and Tyler, the Creator, among many others.
