This Ottawa pop trio is eager to bounce their way into the minds of indie rockers everywhere. As far as debuts go, this one is quite good, brimming with catchy numbers that could easily have come out in the post-grunge mid-'90s. These guys likely spent the last decade listening to Archers Of Loaf, Small 23 and Superchunk, among other punk-edged indie-pop acts and it shines through in their sound. Many of the nine tracks here are accented with a bittersweet feeling that doesn't come across as being maudlin. This would be good "road trip after a break-up" music. Such a strong first effort has me looking forward to what they will come up with next.
