On their latest EP Wait, the now army-clad (so long robes!) Texan collective pay tribute to two great bands of the 90s. Their attempt at Nirvanas "Lithium embodies everything bad about covers, stripping the originals gut-wrenching purpose and spinning it into a loopy flower power love-in. But leader Tim DeLaughter got it right with Tripping Daisys "Sonic Bloom and he should he wrote it nearly a decade ago. Stripping the fundamental flourishing sonic psych-outs and unfolding their communal harmonics, its a marvellous update that will hopefully send DeLaughter back into his underappreciated catalogue.
