Given that a plethora of kids that grew up on the Misfits, the Damned, T.S.O.L. and Christian Death, it's no wonder why horror-punk is having an incredible resurgence, and why bands like AFI, Nekromantix, Dead Bolt and Pitch Black are raising the dead. With sheer brute force, fluid and pounding organs, gravelly vocals and eerie tales twisted into songs, Pitch Black have premeditated their musical recipe well. Just listening to the shovels digging earthen soil on the intro to "Resting Place" while the song builds momentum transports you into some classic horror/sci-fi movie. Pitch Black are connoisseurs of the dark realm, and the spooky kids should bow down and worship them.
