Pilate

Pilate’s lead singer and guitarist Todd Clark sounds almost exactly like a hybrid of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Travis’s Fran Healy. This is the first thing about Pilate that grabs the attention, the next is how Coldplay their whole EP (For All That’s Given, Wasted) is, which really isn’t a bad thing. Each song is a well-crafted pop gem, full of emotional breakdowns and quests of love. Pilate doesn’t sound Canadian at all, and that may just be what helps them in the end.
