"Happy" hit-maker Pharrell Williams is about to become the latest musician to be immortalized on The Simpsons, as he is slated to appear in an upcoming episode of the long-running cartoon.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Pharrell will be in the February 8 episode of the show, which is titled "Walking Big & Tall." In the episode, Springfield learns that its hometown anthem is actually a rip-off of a song used by numerous other cities — a storyline nabbed from a recent episode of This American Life — so Pharrell is hired to write a new one.
That's the "Simpsonized" singer-producer above. As you can see, he's wearing his infamous Mountie hat. Apparently in the Simpsons universe he didn't sell the hat to Arby's.
In addition to writing a song for Springfield, Pharrell recently penned a few tunes for the new A$AP Rocky-featuring film Dope. He's also serving as that flick's executive producer along with Diddy.
