Hamilton's self-proclaimed "rock'n'roll heathens" Pet Sun released their Shade Driver EP late last year, and are taking a look back at the three-song collection with a new set of visuals. Exclaim! is proud to give you your first look at the video for "Mrs. Warp" right here.
Directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick (Mac DeMarco, Quilt, Ty Segall), the video finds the band goofing off in the streets and a cemetery in the slow-moving clip. The group's use of visual effects in creating their entertaining videos has been documented in the past, and things are no different this time around. Different coloured filters fade in and out while the grainy camcorder footage is rewound, sped up, and layered in a heady fashion. The fuzzy, home movie feel serves as an excellent complement to the band's slow-burning psych jam.
Pet Sun's Shade Driver EP is available now through The Hand Recordings. Watch the video for "Mrs. Warp" in the player below.
