Toronto-based indie pop outfit Persian Rugs have crafted a brand new video for their latest track "Underemployed," and Exclaim.ca has the premiere.
The tune comes from the four-piece's recently released LP This Is OK for Now and is a hazy, melodic little number. It gets paired with phone-shot footage in the video, which was filmed at the band's practice space in the early post-party hours of the morning.
Singer Kaye Hamilton pitched in with her editing skills to piece the clips together, resulting in a mash-up of performance shots, friends, disco balls and balloons — basically, it's just a bunch of people hanging out and having a good time.
Persian Rugs' This Is OK for Now is available now digitally and on limited-edition cassette, and you can pick it up here on Bandcamp. Get your first look at their video for "Underemployed" below.
