The years-in-the-works N.W.A. biopic is going full-steam ahead, and is expected to hit theatres approximately one year from now. We've seen the three leads that were chosen to play the iconic rap group, and now the cast has gotten some more star-power thanks to the beloved actor Paul Giamatti.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Giamatti has signed on to play the band's manager, Jerry Heller.
It's likely that this could make him a villain, of sorts. A successful manager long before the rise of N.W.A, Heller was with the group during their meteoric rise. After they split, however, the band's Dr. Dre and Ice Cube both accused him of cheating them out of money.
In addition to working with N.W.A., Heller ran Ruthless Records.
Straight Outta Compton is set to arrive on August 14, 2015, via Universal.
