Australian metalcore crushers Parkway Drive have announced their seventh album. Darker Still is out September 9 through Epitaph, and the band are teasing it with a video for the single "The Greatest Fear."

A press release promises more rock and classic metal influences to go along with the usual metalcore, with touchpoints including Metallica, Pantera, Machine Head and Guns N' Roses. Darker Still apparently unfolds as a concept album, similar to Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral in how it reflects on social ills in a journey towards enlightenment.

Vocalist Winston McCall said in a statement, "There are compositions and songs that we'd never attempted before — or, to be more accurate, which we have attempted in the past, but not had the courage, time or understanding to pull off."

Get a taste of that new sound by checking out the video for "The Greatest Fear," directed by James Chappell, below. Recent single "Glitch" is also included on the album and is at the bottom of this page.
