Panda Bear Shares New 17-Minute Ambient Single

Its title seems to suggest it was a rejected submission for meditation app, Calm

Animal Collective's Noah Lennox — a.k.a. Panda Bear — took to Twitter last night to share a WeTransfer file of some new music.

The shared file, a 17-minute ambient single titled "Calm App (Rejected) – New Ambient Song," has been captured by YouTube channel Preakness for your listening pleasure. If we're taking the title literally, it seems Lennox submitted the track to be included in meditation/sleep app Calm's catalogue, but it was rejected. Mysterious as ever, the artist has yet to elaborate on that.

Last we heard from Panda Bear, he was moving "Step by Step" with Falcon & Braxe. On the Animal Collective side of things, the four-piece delivered their flop era-ending LP Time Skiffs in February. Panda's last solo record was 2019's Buoys.

Listen to the track below, where you can also find Lennox's (now-expired) WeTransfer link.
