PACKS have returned with a video for new single "Abalone," Madeline Link and co.'s first piece of new music since releasing the acoustic WOAH EP earlier this year.
"Abalone" marks a (slightly more hi-fi) return to the shaggy indie rock of PACKS' 2021 debut full-length Take the Cake, riding a cowboy swagger and some crooked guitar licks.
"This one is a classic, kooky tour video to accompany a song about feeling cooped up but enticed by life's prospects," Link said in a statement about the song and video. "It's about knowing that you are destined for big weird pursuits of your own choosing. You just have to work through the deafening cacophony of doubts to get there."
