On Holiday

On Holiday are radio rock dressed up as emo — a commercially viable mix of pop punk and hook-driven rock. There are no impassioned emo screams, cheesy spoken word breakdowns or metal riffs. On Holiday let their songs breathe, and because of that the listener can actually get to know the songs instead of being distracted by their scene signatures. Refreshing and well written, this new Vancouver band are solid rock with a tinge of snotty pop punk à la Green Day.
