This rockin' Winnipeg instrumental group have a hefty challenge ahead of them: how to make a vocal-less group sound interesting without resorting to the favoured gimmicks (i.e. surf, psychobilly, etc.) and receive attention? That's a tough one. There isn't really all that much to this CD, besides a driving rock flavour that, while not in any means bad or painful on the ears, just doesn't seem to grab me in any meaningful way. Lots of movie dialogue samples (including the screaming VC guy on the other side of the river who gets blown away by the bridge in Apocalypse Now) do something to spice up the album, but it is mostly just long, rambling and not particularly gripping instrumentals.
