Of Montreal

This song is required listening not out of necessity, but out of plain old indie rock curiosity. Of course, there aren’t any surprises that come with a melodically obsessed pop band covering another melodically obsessed pop band. Of Montreal does a fine job on their rendition of this Shins single. Released on an EP of four covers (also including songs by Broadcast, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci and V-Twin) sold with their latest album, Satanic Panic In The Attic, "Know Your Onion" has a spin to it that is undeniably Of Montreal.
