We all know where non-monarchist Nick Cave was on the occasion of King Charles III's coronation over the weekend, but where was Meghan Markle? Taking a hike in California, apparently. That information, however, wasn't enough to stop people on social media from speculating that she was actually attending the event incognito as a moustachioed gentleman with white hair.
Said gentleman was actually composer and former Soft Machine member Sir Karl Jenkins! But he was wearing sunglasses, so it was hard to tell.
Enough people were convinced that Jenkins felt the need to address the confusion on his TikTok, because he is very hip.
"I understand there has been a lot of interest in me since I appeared at the coronation of King Charles III," the musician said. "I was there because I'd written some music for the service, really. I was quite surprised that some people thought I was Meghan Markle in disguise. Someone wrote I was there, whoever I was, to steal the Crown Jewels."

He laughed, "I look this way all the time! … I've had this mustache since I was 18 years old. It was very trendy then. So that's me. Nothing sinister about it or surprising at all."
