This week marks the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind — which came out on possibly the greatest release day ever — and the album is being celebrated with an expanded deluxe reissue. It's out on November 12 through Geffen/UMe/Universal Music Canada.
The reissue features a total of 94 audio and video tracks, 70 of which are previously unreleased. This previously unreleased material includes four full concert recordings: Live in Amsterdam, Netherlands (November 25, 1991); Live in Del Mar, California (December 28, 1991); Live in Melbourne, Australia (February 1, 1992); and Live in Tokyo, Japan (February 19, 1992).
There are a range of different release options, including basic CD/digital and single-LP vinyl (with a bonus 7-inch containing "Endless, Nameless" on the A-side and "Even in His Youth" and "Aneurysm" on the flip). The Super Deluxe Editions include an 8LP set with the 7-inch or a 5CD set with a Blu-ray. The album has also been remastered from the original tapes.
There's a trailer for Nevermind's 30th anniversary, but to see it, fans will need to scan a special image on their phones. There are going to be 10 locations in Canada, starting with three launched today in Toronto: 151 Barton Ave (Barton and Christie), 299 Ossington Ave (Ossington and Harrison) and 621 Bathurst St (Bathurst and Ulster).
