Nine Injured in Baroness Bus Crash

Baroness have hit tragedy on the road, as their tour bus fell 30 feet off a viaduct near Bath, England. Luckily, no one was killed in the crash, although all nine passengers on the bus are reportedly now in hospital.

The incident occurred today (August 15) at 11:30 a.m. BST. According to ITV, two people sustained "serious" injuries in the crash, while the remaining seven passengers have also received medical treatment. The bus driver reportedly suffered "life-changing injuries."

The BBC reports that the cause of the accident has not yet been determined. The area is apparently experiencing heavy rain and low visibility, and this meant that an air ambulance was not able to access the site.

It's unknown if the weather was a factor in the crash. Once firefighters accessed the bus, they freed two passengers who were trapped on board.

The band's label, Relapse Records, issued the following statement regarding the crash:

Baroness have been involved in a motor coach accident in the Bath area of England.

All band members and personnel on board are currently receiving medical treatment.

The band had performed in Bristol last night and were traveling to Southampton for a performance at Talking Heads this evening.
