Last year, no wave icon Lydia Lunch saw a vinyl reissue of Shotgun Wedding, her collaboration with Rowland S. Howard. Continuing the Lunch celebration, her iconic 1990 album Conspiracy of Women is being reissued next month.
The spoken word album will appear on vinyl for the first time ever courtesy of Nicolas Jaar's Other People imprint. The release was initially recorded with J.G. Thirlwell (a.k.a. Foetus), but the reissue also includes a remix of "Why, Why Was I Born An American" that features Jaar and beloved noise rock/no wave performer Weasel Walter.
The reissue of Conspiracy of Women arrives on May 4 via Other People. The album's track listing is available below, along with a live performance from Lunch.
Thanks to FACT for the tip.
