Nick Gordon, the former boyfriend of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's late daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, has died at the age of 30.

Gordon's attorney Joe S. Habachy confirmed to the Associated Press that his client had died, but did not reveal the cause of death.

Gordon's death is the latest in a tragic string of deaths in the Houston family.

Whitney Houston died in 2012 at the age of 48 from an accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub in 2015 and died after being in a coma for six months. She was 22. Morphine, cocaine and alcohol were discovered in her system, but the coroner was unable to determine if her death was self-inflicted, the act of somebody else or accidental.

Gordon was later found responsible in a wrongful death lawsuit and ordered to pay $36 million USD to Bobbi Kristina's estate.

Gordon moved in with Houston and Bobbi Kristina following the singer's divorce from Bobby Brown in 2007. Houston brought the orphaned Gordon into her household; he called her "mom" and sported a giant tattoo of Houston's face on his arm.

Gordon and Bobbi Kristina only went public with their romance after Houston died in 2012.

They announced their engagement in 2012 and revealed they had married in 2014. Bobby Brown's lawyer denied the reports in 2015, claiming that Bobbi Kristina "is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon."
