Having made their mark with a J. Robbins-produced EP in 2002, this Salt Lake City quartet unleashes its debut full-length. Evoking the Juliana Theory, Casket Lottery and Static Prevails-era Jimmy Eat World, the band's use of tempered and textured emo is punctuated by some terrifically heartfelt musings delivered with gut-wrenching believability by vocalist/guitarist Josh Asher. With such an over-crowded genre, its nice when a band rises to the challenge of playing something more than contrived, generic emo. TNTD are such a band.
