MSTRKRFT have finally set the due date for their long-in-the-works sophomore effort, Fist of God, which the dance duo have confirmed will drop via Last Gang on March 17.
While no tracklisting has been announced for the record, the band have revealed quite a few details about album during the last few months. Here's what we know so far:
- They've admitted the record will be "really different from our last one," yet one that's "very us."
- It will feature guest appearances from Ghostface Killah, John Legend, Freeway, Lil' Mo, E-40 and N.O.R.E.
- It is "more ideologically like a throwback to when rap and R&B production was old school," which the group say may piss a lot of folks off.
- MSTRKRFT are wearing their influences on their sleeves on this one, even if we may not immediately realize that.
- And the group's Jesse Keeler and Al-P made Fist Of God's album art out of bum cheeks and legs, again proving there is good naked and bad naked.
In addition to all this, hidden away on MSTRKRFT's MySpace page is a little message that says: "IN PROGRESS: LP 3... seriously." However, we wouldn't recommend holding your breath on that one.
