In their 11 years as a band, Floridas New Found Glory have gone through a ton of changes, from their early place in the hardcore scene to their gold records in the 2000s. Still, at their core, theyve always been a fun-loving pop punk band. Thus, it only makes sense that theyve signed with pop punks original home: Epitaph Records.
In a statement made to Billboard, guitarist Chad Gilbert confirms that this decision is based on a desire to escape major label issues, stating, "Epitaph is the place to be! They were all longtime, true fans of New Found Glory and they understand us. We aren't just some record to put out before the new Pussycat Dolls CD! We were over the big business of the majors.
The band are currently working with Blink-182s Mark Hoppus on an album expected to see an early 2009 release.
