Necking Date Plenty of Fish in the Video for "Big Mouth"

The Vancouver band are also taking their new album 'Cut Your Teeth' out on tour

Vancouver four-piece Necking recently dropped their hilarious and personal debut album Cut Your Teeth via Mint. Now, they've treated its lead single "Big Mouth" to a truly one-of-a-kind music video.

Directed by Justin Gradin, the song's accompaniment pairs warm, lush cinematography with a plot that would suit your favourite pop-punk band's best '90s music video. In the video, the members of Necking grow tired of the disappointing selection on their dating apps, including duds like Mint manager Ryan Dyck and his friend Nardwuar.

Instead, Necking start dating a series of fish people, and things get weirder from there. If you've always wished that Guillermo del Toro's fish sex movie The Shape of Water had more visual gags and a better punk soundtrack, watch the new video below.

Necking are also going on tour, the dates of which are available at the bottom of the page.
