Last week, Travis Scott hit Vancouver as part of the Weeknd's current North American tour. While Rogers Arena gave the rising rapper a heap of applause, factoid-obsessed journo Nardwuar the Human Serviette likewise gave the guy a grand West Coast welcome. As most of the tam-topped character's interviews tend to do, he grilled the MC during a gift-giving extravaganza.
After their introduction, Nard jumps in and asks about Scott's love of thrash metal, especially Exodus.
"I like the T-shirts and images," Scott tells Nardwuar. "The music is dope too, and the aggression is like how I feel inside."
Nardwuar also stirs up some conversation by bestowing his guest with records by Malcolm McLaren and Bobby Blue Bland, asking about Scott's grandfather, a piano-playing professor, and discussing a New Year's Eve show the rapper played in Vancouver last year.
Scott is amazed and frequently cracks up and hugs the interviewer. Best of all, he beats Nard at his freeze frame shenanigans after posing a hearty, shoe game-minded "What are those?" The Human Serviette has no idea what's going on.
It's a bit of fun, and you can peep it all below.
