Berlin-via-Toronto drone metal duo Nadja have revealed plans for a new LP. Titled Sonnborner, it's due out September 4 via Broken Spine Productions.
The upcoming release marks the project's impressive 20th full-length release.
The five-track offering opens with a 30-minute piece dubbed "Sonnborner/Aten," which hears bandmates Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff enlisting guest string players Julia Kent, Agathe Max and Simon Goff to add some neo-classical flair to their usual atmospheric doom.
The later half of the record features four faster, heavier "grindgaze" style tracks.
The album artwork was designed by Le Nevralgie Constanti and is pictured above. See the full tracklisting below, along with Nadja's upcoming tour dates.
The band have also unveiled a trailer for the upcoming album, filled with dark, shadowy imagery. It was created in conjunction with Chariot of Black Moth, and you can watch it below.
