Believe it or not, it's been an impressive 15 years since Nada Surf released their much-celebrated Let Go album. So not only are the indie-rock vets patting themselves on the back a bit, but the band are taking their 2002 album out on a 15th anniversary tour.
Today (October 24) Nada Surf rolled out an initial string of 15th anniversary dates celebrating Let Go on a trek called "An Evening with Nada Surf." For each stop on the tour, the band will play Let Go in its entirety, as well as a second set of classics and fan favourites. There will also be no support acts for these shows.
Among the dates announced so far are several in the U.S., as well as a stop at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern on March 11. You can see all the currently confirmed dates below.
Let Go was first released by EMI/Labels in Europe and Heavenly Records in the UK back in 2002 before being released here in North America on Barsuk in 2003. It came loaded with now-classic Nada Surf track such as "Inside of Love," "Blonde on Blonde," "Hi Speed Soul" and "The Way You Wear Your Head."
The album marked the group's third album in the wake of 1996's High/Low and 1998's The Proximity Effect — not to mention their mega-hit "Popular."
Tour dates:
03/07 Washington, DC - Black Cat
03/08 Brooklyn, NY - Brooklyn Steel
03/09 Philadelphia, PA - World Cafe Live
03/10 Boston, MA - Brighton Music Hall
03/11 Toronto, ON - Horseshoe Tavern
03/13 Chicago, IL - Metro
03/14 Minneapolis, MN - Fine Line Music Cafe
