MUTEK Heads Across Canada and the U.S. with Akufen, Stephen Beaupré, Efdemin

As we recently told you, Montreal's heralded MUTEK is gearing up for its 11th edition. The festival, which prides itself as a top-notch "international festival of digital creativity and electronic music," announced a preliminary line-up that includes Matmos, Mouse on Mars, Tim Hecker and many others.

While it's always exciting to hear about exciting things happening in Montreal, the fest's organizers have now decided to involve other areas of North America as well. Like the MUTEK_10 Tour that took place last year, some premier electronic acts have been tapped for an April roadshow that includes Canadian stops in Winnipeg, Vancouver and Toronto.

For this year's MUTEK tour, Montreal legends Akufen and Stephen Beaupré will headline alongside Efdemin, Ave Aju and Derek Plaslaiko. Expect a slew of local talent at each stop as well. More information can be found here.
