If you were all pumped to see Ray Davies bring his work to the stage next year, bad news: the musical written by and featuring the legendary Kinks star has been cancelled in the UK.
Following its first run in 2008, the show dubbed Come Dancing was to come back to the stage in 2010 with director Bill Kenwright at the helm. However, those plans have been scrapped, Clash reports.
"Ray [Davies] is extremely disappointed that the 2010 Come Dancing tour will not be happening," a spokesperson for Davies's studio Konk explained in a statement. "[He] will be issuing a statement in due course."
No explanation has yet been given for the cancellation, although theatres are giving refunds to those who bought advance tickets.
On the bright side, at least Kinks fans still have that biopic to look forward to.
