Mumford & Sons' Sophomore Album Set for September Release

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 28, 2012

Details are seriously scant on this one, but it's the news fans of beloved Brit folk outfit Mumford & Sons have been waiting for: the band's next album will come out this fall.

According to reports, Mumford & Sons announced the LP during a performance at this weekend's Pinkpop Music Festival in Landgraaf, Netherlands, though apparently they didn't give any details on what it will be called. They did, however, later confirm in an interview with 3FM DJ Roosmarijn Reijmer that the set shall arrive on September 24 in Europe.

The album follows the group's smash 2009 debut Sigh No More, and re-teams the troupe with producer Markus Dravs. Apparently the collection has been in the works since March of 2011. While a tracklisting has yet to pop up, new number "Ghosts That We Knew" leaked late last year.
