Ultra Panic is the seventh album from MU330, who have been around since 1988. The press release claims that Ultra Panic has MU330 playing more ska than in any of their other albums and I can't dispute that. More ska than on any other album doesn't equal all ska though, and what is on the album is an infectious blend of pop, punk and, of course, ska peppered with harder punk breakdowns, complete with blasting horns. The band certainly isn't frozen in 1988, as more modern punk influences can be heard in some songs. The majority of the album, however, features punchy, fast-paced pop songs based around a ska beat with the harmonised chorus lines that characterised the ska/punk genre.
