The Most Serene Republic have revealed that a new six-song digital EP, Fantasick Impossibliss, will be available to the masses May 4. It is being released on the band's new label, Home of the Rebels, distributed by Arts & Crafts.
Fantasick Impossibliss is the brainchild of keyboardist Ryan Lenssen and vocalist Adrian Jewett. Lenssen explains the project in a press release: "While on the road, Adrian and I started psychoanalyzing each other and pinpointing our various problems; Adrian is 'Fantasy Sick' and I am 'Impossible Bliss.' We decided to create a character that encompassed our problems. As I wrote the music and Adrian the lyrics, we were able to combine and create a story of this man... Fantasick Impossibliss."
Fantasick Impossibliss was produced by Lenssen, with the exception of the title track, which was produced by Dave Newfeld, who co-produced the Most Serene Republic's 2009 album, ...And the Ever Expanding Universe, along with Lenssen.
A new video for the song "Jelly Chamber," off of Fantasick Impossibliss, has also been released. Check it out over in the Click Hear section and down below.
