Yesterday, Levine responded to accusations that he had cheated on his wife Behati Prinsloo with an Instagram model. Sumner Stroh, the accuser, had shared her story in a TikTok that promptly went viral. She said she had been "manipulated" and "exploited" into a year-long affair with the musician, and while they had broken things off some time ago, he had recently come back into her life to ask if he could name his third child with his expectant wife after her. Levine posed the question by sliding into Stroh's DMs, which is beginning to look like a frequent habit of his.
In his statement, the singer-songwriter denied the affair with Stroh, but said that he had "crossed the line" during "a regrettable time" in his life. He (also regrettably) did not address the baby-naming situation.
Now, at least three more women have come forward claiming to be recipients of flirty DMs from Levine. In a since-deleted TikTok, Alyson Rose (@alysonrosef) said, "Let's give his wife justice, right?" and shared screenshots of DMs allegedly from Levine.
Also based in Los Angeles, Rose elaborated in some since-deleted comments (archived by @riristea) that she and the musician had mutual friends, and had started talking mostly about tattoos. She admitted that they had never met in person, but wrote that he "did cross the line," in the comments section of the video. "He always was calling me hot and asking me for photos. I literally never complemented [sic] him once lol."
Comedian Maryka also came forward, using the hashtag #ExposeAdamLevine and sharing screenshots of DMs she had received via Instagram Stories. Content creator Dana Omari signal-boosted the posts in a couple of Reels, with Maryka having sent her additional screenshots to share with her followers.
Some of their exchanges seem to be timestamped from July of this year, when Levine would have celebrated his eighth wedding anniversary with Prinsloo. A sample of the horny content sees the Maroon 5 leader allegedly telling Maryka that he's "obsessed" with her. When she points out, "Dude aren't you like married lol," he says yes — but, "it's a bit complicated. Stuff gets hard and the vid thing didn't help. I might get away." (My personal favourite? Finally, Levine's former yoga teacher Alanna Zabel, who taught him from 2007 to 2010, has claimed that one of the musician's out-of-the-blue flirty messages changed her life. "He often said he told his friends that his yoga teacher had the best ass in town and it was cute," she wrote in an Instagram Story [via The Daily Mail].
Zabel continued:
One day he texted me saying "I want to spend the day with you naked." I was in the bath but my jealous ex saw it and went into a rage. I assured my ex that it was meant for Adam's then-girlfriend, Becky, and was a mistake. I texted Adam to ask if that was the case. Adam didn't reply... and my ex became violent, breaking my wrist.
