Montreal's L'OFF Jazz Festival Details 2023 Edition

The 24th annual fest will take place from October 5 to 14

Montreal's L'OFF Jazz Festival is gearing up to return for its 24th edition this year, and organizers have unveiled the details. Taking place from October 5 to 14, performances will be split into four unique series and hosted in nine separate venues across the city.

Opening night kicks off with a show from Ernesto Cervini in the "Hors Séries" series at Salle Bourgie. Elizabeth Shepherd will put on a free show at Stewart Hall for the second and final performance in the series. 

François Bourassa will get things started for the "Grands Concerts" series at Le Ministère, preceding headliners Erik Hove, Dolman, Rossy and Jobin, Chet Doxas Trio, Erika Angell, Blanche Baillargeon, Julian Gutierrez, Razalaz, Chuck Copenace, Melissa Pipe, Orchestre National de Jazz de Montreal, Jeff Johnston, Carl Mayotte and Jacques Schwarz-Bart. Remaining "Grands Concerts" shows are set to take place between Chapelle Saint-Louis, Cinquième Salle de la Place-des-Arts and Studio TD. 

The "AperOFFs" series highlights up-and-coming local jazz acts at Montreal Improv, with performances from Salomé Perli, Stephanie Urquhart, Devlin & Lacombe, Jonathan Lindhorst, Ruiqi Wang, Evan Shay and Plastic Waste Band. 

To cap off your nights, head to Dièse Onze and Upstairs Jazz for the "Jazz Nocturne" series, which will feature shows by Fraser Hollins, Olivier Hèbert, Bellbird, Mathieu Soucy, Mark Nelson, Bogdan Gumenyuk, Annie Dominique and Christine Jensen

Tickets for select shows are available here. Students, seniors and members of the Quebec Musicians' Guild receive a 35 percent discount.
