If Mick Jagger walks into a bar and no one makes a sound, is he still alive and kicking? Is his heart still ticking?
The 78-year-old rock legend provided an answer to that age-old proverb on Wednesday night (September 29), after he grabbed a beer at Charlotte, NC bar the Thirsty Beaver Saloon, going totally unnoticed by staff and patrons.
Jagger appeared at the Thirsty Beaver prior to a Rolling Stones show in the state, later tweeting a photo of himself decked in a cap and enjoying a brewski outside the bar, captioned: "Out and about last night in Charlotte, NC."
However, according to the bar's co-owner Brian Wilson — not that one — the rocker was left to enjoy his beer in peace during his brief visit.
"He was in here and then he was gone," Wilson told the Charlotte Observer.
The Stones are currently on their No Filter Tour, their first without drummer Charlie Watts, since his death in August. They've been using the tour as an opportunity to honour the iconic drummer — at the tour kick-off in St. Louis, they reportedly paid tribute to Watts by opening with an empty stage and a lone drumbeat, according to the Associated Press.
