Michael Jackson's "Thriller" Video to Get the 3D Treatment

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 3, 2014

Michael Jackson and director John Landis made history with 1983's epic "Thriller" music video, and it has now been revealed that the clip will be getting revamped in 3D.

Clocking in at 14 minutes and featuring perhaps the most iconic dance sequence of the music video era, the video is set to make its way to the big screen and Blu-ray in 2015.

The news comes following a lengthy battle between Landis and Jackson's estate, but with a settlement in place, the video's original director is looking to give it an update.

"It is going to reappear in a highly polished and three-dimensional way that is very exciting on the big screen," said Landis, speaking to the New York Daily News [via Billboard].

The 3D version won't be ready for this year's spookiest night, but you can watch the original video below to get into the Halloween spirit.
