Micachu and the Shapes Announce Sophomore LP, Share New Mixtape with Kwes

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 1, 2012

Hard-to-classify British pop act Micachu and the Shapes released their debut album, Jewellery, back in 2009. Now, three years later, Mica Levi and her backing band are ready to release the follow-up. Entitled Never, it's due out July 24 on Rough Trade.

Peruse the 14-song tracklist below, and that's the cover artwork above. The album was recorded at drummer Marc Pell's studio in Stratford, UK. It was mixed by Dilip Harris (aka Demus).

While Micachu has yet to share a single from the album, she isn't leaving us empty-handed, since she just released another mixtape with British producer/songwriter Kwes. Entitled Kwesachu Vol. 2, you can stream the entire thing at the bottom of this page.

Scroll past that to hear previously released remixes of the album cuts "Low Dogg" and "Fall," which appeared on the 2011 collection Chopped and Screwed.
