Depeche Mode's Martin Gore is going solo for his new self-titled album under the name MG, and now he's given the previously unveiled track "Europa Hymn" its own video.
As the song's soft ambient tones swell up, the clip begins with a crudely hand-drawn volume dial, very much like the one that appears on MG's album cover. At the mellow beats enter, we see a series of line-drawn animations featuring various images related to electronic music, like keyboards and wires. Gradually, the colour palette shifts from white to something a little more dark and psychedlic.
The clip was directed by M-I-E. Check it out below.
MG is due out on April 28 through Mute.
