Toronto punk trio Mexican Slang only just shared their song "Halcyon" from their upcoming Inside the Velvet Castle EP, and now the track has got its own music video.
The visuals capture the hazy, atmospheric tone of the track, as we watch frontwoman Annabelle Lee — who also serves as director here — singing the reverb-shrouded vocals while her face is overlaid with a blur of neon lights. We see retro gambling signs and flickering candles, making for a moody accompaniment to the dark track. Watch it below.
Inside the Velvet Castle comes out on July 15 through Buzz Records. Mexican Slang also have a string of Canadian and U.S. dates coming up, and you can check those out below.
