Brooklyn punk rockers the Men have been keeping very busy. With an upcoming album, titled Tomorrow's Hits, set for release on March 4 and a new single out now, it's surprising the band has the energy to carry out a lengthy tour on top of it. Having released four (soon to be five) studio albums, two EPs, two cassettes, and a series of singles, the Men are a dynamo of a group, and yet, they still found the time to sit down with Exclaim! for an intimate acoustic set before their show at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern last fall.
Lounged across a series of armchairs in a dimly lit green room at the Horseshoe Tavern, acoustic guitars are strummed and maracas are shaken along to the four-piece band's jam. Almost in total unison, the shaggy crew strum and pick their way through the toned-down acoustic rendition of their song "Supermoon" off their 2013 album, New Moon, a song that's album version features far more fuzz, feedback and fury.
