Ontario dream pop unit Memoryhouse are set to release their debut Sub Pop full-length The Slideshow Effect next month, but the band have delivered an outtake to tantalize fans until the record's February 28 street date.
The uncovered number initially plays it low and slow, with gentle washes of '80s synths and jangly six-strings scoring singer Denise Nouvion's lyrics on the early days of a relationship. While the tune picks up with a dancey backbeat and layers of guitar distortion, the vocalist still dreamily delivers the tune as if singing with her head on someone's shoulder.
